Almost certainly the best apartment on the Barbican. This huge 1,400 square foot, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, with the discerning in mind, with a roof terrace overlooking Sutton Harbour. Spread over two floors, featuring an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room. Only minutes from Mayflower steps and overlooking Plymouth Gin. The famous Plymouth Artist Robert Lenkiewicz used to live and paint here. A great spot for a romantic escape, business trip or just to get away from it all.

The space

The building is located at 5 Southside Street, directly opposite the historic Plymouth Gin. Access to the apartment is either via the front of the building or the rear at 27 Parade. We own The Bottling Plant restaurant and cocktail lounge which is situated on the ground floor and all the facilities are available to guests by room service. The Bottling plant is an award winning restaurant and a family business, our son is head chef. All Cocktails are freshly made to order and should you wish to use the restaurant you will receive priority discounted service.

The apartment is set on the first floor and is extremely spacious with a well equipped kitchen should you wish to cater for yourself. There are two main bedrooms and two bathrooms but we also have sofa beds should you require extra cover. The main living room has a piano and we can supply a pianist for that special occasion if required.

Guest access

The whole apartment is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Access is via a flight of stairs, and access to the top floor is via a spiral staircase.

Other things to note

The main bedroom is located on the first floor with a bathroom next to it and the main living area and kitchen across the hall. Bedroom 2 is located on the second floor accessed via a spiral staircase. This bedroom gives access to the roof terrace via large bi-folding windows. It can be set as a second sitting room or a bedroom (Large Sofa Bed). There is also a TV and office area in bedroom 2 with an ensuite. There is a further room that can be used a a single bedroom or office. The main door is from the spiral staircase. This apartment is not suitable for children under the age of 8 because of the spiral staircase and roof terrace. Pets are welcome at an extra cost. Please ensure that you read our rules for pets in our welcome pack, and bear in mind there is no lift access to this apartment. Access is via a flight of stairs only. This is a no smoking or vaping apartment.
